Bloomington, St George Utah Neighborhood Information
Bloomington is a neighborhood within the St. George, Utah city limits. Because the neighborhood is so large, locals refer to the area simply as "Bloomington." Those who are not residents or new visitors to St. George may believe Bloomington is a town, or a city – however, it is only a neighborhood. It's located on the south side of St. George, bordering the SunRiver area close to Interstate 15.
Bloomington is one of the oldest, more established neighborhoods, offering historical attributes. The area was formerly known as the Town of Atkinville, however in the 1960's, due to the town's inability to incorporate itself, it became part of St. George. The neighborhood is built in a circular…
